I don’t think words can fully capture the feeling we all shared this weekend—but I’ll try.

Our 2025 Junior Carnival and Presentation Night was something truly special. The kind of day that reminds you why community sport matters. Why we show up early, stay late, and keep going even when it’s hard. Because when you see kids laughing, families catching up over food, and volunteers giving their all with nothing asked in return—you know you’re part of something bigger.

The Junior Carnival was pure joy. From giant games and music to sport and sunshine, it was a celebration of play and friendship. Watching our juniors run, laugh, and connect—it was everything we hoped for. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen, especially those who quietly did the heavy lifting behind the scenes. You are the reason it worked.

And then came the Presentations—a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate. Seeing our juniors walk up to receive their awards, surrounded by proud families and teammates. We didn’t just honour talent—we honoured effort, kindness, growth, and spirit. These kids are our club's future, and they’re already showing us what leadership looks like.

To our volunteers: you are the soul of this club. Your time, energy, and care don’t go unnoticed. To our coaches and families: thank you for believing in our kids and in what we’re building together. And to our juniors: you are brilliant. You bring life, laughter, and hope to Southern River HC. We are so proud of you.

Here’s to more moments like these—more laughter, more teamwork, and more reasons to be proud of the club we call home.
