CODE OF CONDUCT
AND PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
To train on the nominated training nights and in accordance with the coach’s instructions
To train hard and encourage others to do so as well
If you have any suggestions to make concerning training, social functions or anything else to do with the Club, talk to any committee members listed below.
If you can’t attend training on Thursday (Selection Night) ring your appointed captain or Club Coach Barry Vanderputt by 8PM to see if and where you are playing
If you are unavailable for a game let your captain know at least one week in advance and write your name on the “unavailable list” on the whiteboard in the clubrooms.
If on match day you think you may be running late for a game, try to ring one of the contact numbers at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled start of the game.
Always assist your captain and team mates by playing to the best of your ability. This includes:
- Wearing the correct club uniform;
- Playing within the spirit of the game as well as within the rules; 3 yellow cards represents an automatic one match suspension; one red card represents an automatic one match suspension.
- Always following your captain’s instructions during the match;
- Paying your Club fees ($330 – includes insurance cover for accident or injury resulting from hockey activities ie; training and/or playing games). Unless alternative arrangements made with Treasurer Barry your Club fees are required to be paid by the end of the first round of fixtures.
- Looking after the Club’s gear as it is expensive to replace;
- Paying fines imposed by Hockey WA for incorrect attire or misbehaviour and more importantly for not umpiring games when requested to do so.
